[Fox] Love is in the air

It’s that time of year, when it seems like there’s something extra-special about that special someone - at least for foxes. That’s because in our region, it is fox mating season. Therefore you may see (or more likely hear) some “unusual” behavior. They’re engaged in courtship and mating routines. People usually experience this in the form of “odd” vocalizations in the nighttime. It also takes the form of what might be interpreted as play. At lease one individual was recorded carrying away a sneaker from a back porch.

If you are lucky enough to have a den in your neighborhood, it will produce young in 50-60 days!
